Ten cards, six ways in
Prototypes for moving round the home without one long scroll. Same dummy cards in every one. Nothing here talks to hestia.
A sticky row of round section icons with badges. It lights up the card you're on; tap one to glide there.
› ↔️2 · Swipe pagesOne card per screen. Swipe sideways; the neighbours peek in at the edges, dots show where you are.
› 🎞️3 · ReelsOne card per screen, swiped up and down. A long card scrolls inside first; push again at its end to move on.
› ⏭️4 · Next and backOne card at a time with a bottom bar. Tap the middle for a jump list. Swipe the card sideways too.
› 🎡5 · Click wheelToday's long scroll, plus a round button. Press it and drag round the iPod-style ring; let go to jump.
› 🧩6 · Glance gridThe whole home on one screen as tiles, each with its one headline. Tap a tile and it grows into the full card.
›Why the glance grid
- The first four make the list easier to move through, but you still visit cards to learn what is in them.
- The grid answers "is anything for me?" before any tap: every card gives its one line, and badges show what needs you.
- It is one tap to any card and one tap back, so it doesn't matter where a card sits in the order.
- A bottom tab bar (Today · Lists · Read · House) was the other candidate. It still hides cards behind a choice of tab.
What to try
- Find the overdue todo, tick off milk, and read the Eng reads gist #2 in each one. Count the taps.
- In Reels, scroll a long card (Home, Eng reads) to its end, then push on. Does the hand-off feel right?
- In Click wheel, press the round button and drag straight onto the ring without lifting your thumb.
- Add it to the Home Screen to see it full screen. Dark mode follows the phone.
